NEW! 48 Disk in a 4U Solution 4800 Disk Series

Sourcetek Systems is pleased to announce the newest addition to its Disk Series line of products 4800 Disk Series. The 4800 provides 4GB FC connectivity, enterprise class RAID technology and up to 48TB of storage capacity in a 4U storage system. The 4800 offers a combination of performance, energy efficiency, reliability and storage density and is optimized for use in a variety of near line storage or rich media applications.

Flexibility and Availability
The dual controller solution has the ability to expand an additional 48 drives with a companion 4U JBOD which would allow users to posses 98TB in 8U of total space. The 4800 combines 4GB Fibre Channel (FC) RAID connectivity with (SATA-2) disk drives, and Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) expansion technology, offering affordable RAID data storage and high performance capabilities. The 4800 Disk Solution provides the bandwidth needed for disk-to-disk backup, archiving and other storage-intensive applications, while leveraging SAS full duplex, point-to-point architecture with dedicated connections for maximum data throughput. There is no single point of failure, with two RAID controllers per chassis and host-based dynamic multipathing to maintain continuous access to application data.

Green Design
The 4800 Disk Series has the lowest power consumption (50 percent more TB per KW), and highest density (33 percent more TB per sq. ft.) of any nearline storage RAID system on the market.

Manage Storage and Recovery
Sourcetek Systems uses StorageWatch management software to make it simple to configure and administer the 4800 Disk solution. Automated control of individual controllers cache, arrays and devices via a web-based interface simplifies storage administration, while the full-function Command Line Interface (CLI) allows integration of array management into existing operational procedures.
