ARAIDoE NetDRIVE Storage Products connect to the network
using standard Ethernet. With NetDRIVE Storage you can create a
shared storage system from a few Terabytes to multiple Petabytes.
NetDRIVE Storage Products use
the open ATA-over-Ethernet (AoE) storage protocol. AoE is a simple,
non-routable protocol designed specifically to transport disk
commands over Ethernet. EtherDrive products offer internal RAID (0,
1, 5, 10), hot-swappable disks, and support all SATA I and SATA II
drives.
AoE delivers a simple, high
performance, low cost alternative to iSCSI and FibreChannel for
networked block storage by eliminating the processing overhead of
TCP/IP. AoE is native in Linux 2.6.11 and
beyond. |
